Senior Product Manager, Online Classifieds
Overview
CARFAX seeks a proven leader in an online classified business (automotive, real estate,
restaurants, etc.) to help shape the growth and evolution of our Used Car Listings business.
Position reports to the Director of Product Management and requires significant interaction with all
departments and the Senior Management team.
Responsibilities
? Help set strategic direction, product vision, and overall business strategy for connecting
used car shoppers with our CARFAX dealer subscribers.
? Serve as the internal champion for the future of the used car listings service and business.
Help communicate where we're going and the steps necessary to get there.
? Work closely with marketing research and product management to craft overall product
vision and strategic roadmap to help create the ideal online used car shopping experience.
? Manage and build strategic partnerships, and work with internal development teams to
help bring our services to life.
? Work closely with dealer sales, marketing, and account management teams to clearly
communicate dealer value.
? Identify and implement product and process improvements across the organization to
achieve overall business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
? 10-15 years proven success in marketing and product management roles in an
online/mobile industry. Experience with an online classified business, or similar consumer
focused ad platform, required.
? Proven strategic leader and team player. Able to collaborate across departments to create
strategic plans and product roadmaps.
? Comfortable as a 'player/coach' -- willing to roll up their sleeves to bring ideas to life.
? Creative and conceptual thinking skills - ability to generate new ideas that enhance
products and improve the business.
? Results oriented - ability to analyze and track the impact of product improvements to
achieving key corporate goals.
? Analytical skills - ability to use and analyze information to shape business strategy.
? Proactive and Self Motivated - feels a strong sense of ownership and proactively identifies
what needs to be done. Has a bias toward action.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
? Comfortable in a dynamic work environment where active, hands-on management is the
norm.
? Experience working with Agile software development teams.
? MBA or equivalent work experience
